LongStroke™ Indexing Tool

The LongStroke™ Indexing Tool helps you run the lower completion to target depth in open hole. Ledges, tight spots and debris often stop the string on the way down. This tool reams its way past them.

The reamer shoe starts to rotate as soon as weight is set down. It turns clockwise about four times over the full stroke. This opens the hole to the size the string needs.

When the shoe passes the obstruction, an internal spring pushes the tool back to its start position. You can then work the next tight spot the same way.

If the shoe gets stuck after full stroke, you can still pull back safely. A ratchet clutch lets the shoe slip free. No reverse torque goes into the completion string.

A screen basket in the reamer shoe keeps debris out of the moving parts. The tool comes with a 7.25" or 8.25" reamer shoe.
